Job Title: Junior Aerodynamic Engineer – Defence & Aerospace

Location: Bangalore Job Type: Full-Time

Onsite Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Junior Aerodynamic Engineer to support the design, analysis, and testing of aerodynamic systems for aerospace and defence platforms, including UAVs, missiles, and aircraft. The role involves computational and experimental aerodynamic evaluations to ensure optimal performance, stability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in aerodynamic design of airframes, wings, control surfaces, and propeller/rotor systems. Perform basic CFD simulations for lift, drag, pressure distribution, and flow visualization. Support wind tunnel tests, data collection, and correlation with simulation results Work with the structures and propulsion teams to ensure aerodynamic-structural-propulsion integration Analyze stability & control characteristics for various flight regimes Contribute to performance prediction (stall speed, glide ratio, climb rate, endurance, etc.) Assist in generating aerodynamic load cases for structural analysis teams Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for design reviews Stay updated with aerodynamic research and methods relevant to UAV and defence applications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering or related field Basic knowledge of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and fluid dynamics Exposure to CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, XFOIL, etc.) Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA, Fusion 360 Understanding of wind tunnel testing procedures and instrumentation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good verbal and written communication abilities

Preferred Skills: Internship or academic project experience in UAV or aircraft design Knowledge of propeller/rotor aerodynamics Experience with MATLAB/Python for data processing and analysis Familiarity with flight test data interpretation

Soft Skills: Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment Strong team collaboration skills Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy Ability to follow engineering procedures and safety guidelines.
