Automotive NVH and Durability Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team as an Automotive NVH and Durability Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA), optimization techniques, and structural dynamics. Experience with Abaqus, Nastran, Optistruct, Hypermesh, Ansa, Hyperview, and Metapost is highly desirable.

  • Conduct fatigue life estimations for parent metal and weld connections using advanced FEA methods.
  • Develop and implement optimization strategies to achieve strength and stiffness targets while minimizing material usage.
  • Perform full-vehicle level NVH studies, including point mobility and local dynamic stiffness expertise, to identify and mitigate sources of noise and vibration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that balance technical requirements with manufacturing and assembly feasibility.

About this role:

This position involves working closely with our engineering team to design and analyze vehicle structures. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of finite element analysis and optimization techniques, as well as experience with industry-leading software tools.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive analysis and optimization of vehicle structures to improve their durability and noise vibration harshness (NVH) performance.

- Develop and implement optimization strategies to achieve strength and stiffness targets while minimizing material usage.

- Perform full-vehicle level NVH studies, including point mobility and local dynamic stiffness expertise, to identify and mitigate sources of noise and vibration.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

- 5+ years of experience in automotive NVH and durability engineering.

- Strong fundamentals in nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA), optimization techniques, and structural dynamics.

- Experience with Abaqus, Nastran, Optistruct, Hypermesh, Ansa, Hyperview, and Metapost is highly desirable.
