Incident Resolution Expert

About the Role

As an Incident Manager, you will be the critical link between our Support and Engineering teams. You will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by leading the investigation of production issues in our application.

This is an engineering position that requires strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution, root cause analysis and implementation of learnings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate production issues raised by customers and Support
  • Liaise between Support and Engineering to facilitate issue resolution, root cause analysis (RCA), and drive implementation of learnings
  • Create and track progress of problem tickets in Jira
  • Develop incident analysis reports with support from Engineering teams
  • Analyze log files using Datadog
  • Debug basic REST API calls for investigations
  • Execute SQL database queries to provide information for investigations
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles in Confluence
  • Participate in security audits and prepare supporting evidence
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of IT experience in SRE, sysadmin, developer, QA or similar fields
  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Basic understanding of cloud-hosted systems architecture
  • Data analysis skills - creating and interpreting dashboards
  • Project management and documentation skills in Jira and Confluence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure components, preferably AWS
  • Experience with REST APIs and tools e.g. Postman
  • Experience with application logging/monitoring tools e.g. Kibana, Datadog;
  • Experience with SQL, Linux & Network environments
  • Will to learn new technical skills
