We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Transaction Banking Specialist.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing and evaluating daily profit and loss statements, as well as ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet for cash management and trade products.
  • Understand transactions booked in trade products and cash management business from a commercial perspective, including return on risk-weighted assets.
  • Compute and build controls to ensure consistent pass-through rates in cash management business.
  • Deep understanding of various trade products such as working capital loans, trade loans, open account financing, import/export trade products (LC-related products).
  • Review and reasoning of daily, weekly, and monthly net interest margin fluctuations across countries and balance sheet movements.
  • New deal review and revenue recognition in line with IFRS 9 & IFRS 15 accounting standards.
  • Engage actively with stakeholders across multiple functions and represent product control in various forums.
  • Responsible for overseeing and reviewing business-as-usual controls, reporting, and escalation processes.
  • Production of periodic management information packs with commentaries.
  • Establishing best practices across various product control processes, streamlining, and automation.
  • Review of key control indicators and control sample testing.
  • Support control and governance, external audits, and regulators' queries.
  • Support new business initiatives and help execute management strategies.
  • Lead project delivery and represent product control in project forums.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Educated to degree level; preferably chartered accountant, CFA, or MBA in finance.
  • Product control experience managing banking book portfolios.
  • Strong command over IFRS 9 and IFRS 15.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high-quality output.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical, innovative, and questioning mindset.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience with most recent 3 years in product control.
