Job Title: Legal Business Partner

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Business Partner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all administrative matters of client companies, maintaining and developing relationships, managing client teams, reviewing corporate and commercial agreements, and coordinating legal, administrative, and banking activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Legal Services: Perform legal work for client companies, including preparing corporate documents, reviewing standard corporate and commercial agreements, and providing fee quotations for services.
  • Incorporation and Termination Processes: Participate in the incorporation and termination processes of companies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Productivity and Performance Management: Monitor productivity and chargeability on a weekly basis, review performance against targets, and ensure individual financial and client targets are met.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their activities and ensuring that any action taken is consistent with the company's purpose within the legal and economic framework.
  • Team Management: Manage companies, ensuring that all information in client files is correct and up-to-date, and collaborate with managers to maintain accurate client databases.
  • Professional Development: Develop and update legal manuals and procedures, contribute to the development and maintenance of systems, and provide advice, knowledge, and experience to colleagues.
  • Reporting and Project Work: Prepare monthly reports for the Management Team and work on specific projects assigned by the Manager.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law or Economics, or qualified Company Secretary.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in legal and corporate/company management services in a law firm, trust, or company management firm.
  • Strong commercial mindset, takes initiative, positive and proactive, dedicated, focused, and revenue and target driven.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, well-developed spoken and written communication skills, and ability to tailor style to relevant audiences.
  • Excellent English language fluency, additional languages preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution-driven, highly organized, detail-oriented, and good decision-making and time-management skills.
  • Independent, hands-on, and takes accountability to deliver solutions and results.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a smaller, dynamic local team environment, along with being part of a bigger matrix organization.
  • Proven leadership and team-player skills, with ambition to excel in the role.
