
Business Payroll Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Compensation & Benefits, income tax, statutory compliance, and payroll systems.
This role requires precision, confidentiality, and a strong understanding of labor laws and tax regulations.
- Administer end-to-end payroll for over 5000 employees across multiple locations.
- Ensure accurate and timely salary disbursement, including bonuses, arrears, and adjustments.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, exits, and status changes.
Key Responsibilities:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Manage payroll software and ensure data integrity.
- Generate payroll reports for finance and HR departments.
Income Tax & Statutory Compliance:
The Payroll Specialist will also be responsible for:
- Calculating and deducting applicable taxes (TDS), Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and other statutory contributions.
- Filing statutory returns and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
- Coordinating with auditors and government agencies during inspections and audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in India payroll administration, preferably in large organizations.
- Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws, labor regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Experience managing payroll for 5000+ employees is highly desirable.
- Certification in payroll (e.g., CPP or equivalent) is a plus.
