About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Network Modeling Expert to join our team at ExxonMobil Corporation. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining specialized models to analyze specific areas of the supply chain system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex models to analyze supply chain systems using network optimization, inventory optimization, simulation, and statistical learning/analysis.
  • Work with key contacts to identify and gather data required to model scenarios necessary for representing supply chain systems and constraints.
  • Pull data from information systems and reach out to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for data not readily available in systems.
  • Ensure data quality is maintained and refreshed for answering new questions using existing models.
  • Proactively drive cross-functional alignment across organizations to validate various scenarios and model inputs/outputs.
  • Run models and analyze results across scenarios to identify supply chain improvement opportunities and provide insights into the modification or new design of supply chain/logistics/material handling systems.
  • Build, document, maintain, and/or improve tools to analyze and explain model outputs, including visualizations and macros to calculate customized output KPIs.
  • Lead and/or participate in teams with key stakeholders to vet model results and determine specific recommendations.
  • Proactively assist in executing action plans from model recommendations, capture credits, and steward value capture.
  • Investigate industry trends in supply chain modeling software to maintain leading edge capabilities.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced logistics and analytics specialist with a strong background in supply chain network modeling. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in supply chain and modeling/analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with optimization/simulation tools such as Llamasoft/Coupa Supply Chain Guru, BlueYonder (formerly JDA) Strategist, AnyLogistix, and/or Advanced Interactive Multidimensional Modelling System (AIMMS SC) Navigator.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data, and capability of determining the inter-relationships of input and output data with respect to a model.
  • Ability to translate general requirements and long-term deadlines into shorter-term work tasks, self-direct work, and monitor progress.
  • Solicits inputs from subject matter experts (SMEs) and engage with cross-functional teams to drive results.
  • Curious mindset in understanding business problems and their related factors to develop solutions.
  • Quick to learn different tools, leverages to be more efficient and improve work processes for projects, and shares learnings with others.
  • Ability to view complex subjects from both a high level and detail perspective, and communicate appropriately with different audiences.
