Key Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Network Modeling Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining specialized models to analyze specific areas of the supply chain system. This will involve working with key contacts to identify and gather data required to model scenarios necessary for representing supply chain systems and constraints.

Some of the key tasks you will be responsible for include:

• Developing and maintaining specialized models to analyze specific areas of the supply chain system
• Working with key contacts to identify and gather data required to model scenarios necessary for representing supply chain systems and constraints
• Analyzing and interpreting data to identify supply chain improvement opportunities and provide insights into the modification or new design of supply chain/logistics/material handling systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate model results and determine specific recommendations
• Investigating industry trends in supply chain modeling software to maintain leading edge capabilities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Chemical (preferred) or Operations Research or related fields such as Applied Mathematics/Statistics. You will also need to have minimum 3 years relevant work experience in supply chain and modeling/analytics.

Some of the key skills and qualifications required for this role include:

• Experience with one or both of supply chain network design optimization and supply chain analytics in logistics & distribution/supply & operational planning
• Familiarity with software such as Tableau and/or Power Business Intelligence (BI) for visualization, Alteryx, Power Query, Excel Visual Basics for Applications (VBA), Structured Query Language (SQL), Llamasoft Data Guru, R, and/or Python for scripting and Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL)
• Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data, and capability of determining the inter-relationships of input and output data with respect to a model
• Ability to translate general requirements and long-term deadlines into shorter-term work tasks, self-direct work, and monitor progress

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Experience with optimization/simulation tools is preferred but not necessary. Some of the key preferred qualifications and experience for this role include:

• Experienced with optimization/simulation tools such as Llamasoft/Coupa Supply Chain Guru, BlueYonder (formerly JDA) Strategist, AnyLogistix, and/or Advanced Interactive Multidimensional Modelling System (AIMMS SC) Navigator for supply chain network design and inventory modeling/optimization
• Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data, and capability of determining the inter-relationships of input and output data with respect to a model
• Ability to translate general requirements and long-term deadlines into shorter-term work tasks, self-direct work, and monitor progress
