Job Title: Technical Writer

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation for our clients in the Aviation Support Services domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit the effectiveness of the technical data program and related processes.
  • Develop and maintain internal maintenance procedures and audit the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System.
  • Address audit findings through verbal and written communication.
  • Ensure key management personnel are aware of potentially serious issues.
  • Utilize company software to manage the technical data program.
  • Issue and track company-controlled manuals assigned to personnel and stations.
  • Maintain and update the manuals status report for the Maintenance/Quality Control departments.
  • Edit and revise internal company-controlled manuals.
  • Order and track external company-controlled manuals.
  • Organize and maintain the company's library with master manuals.
  • Interface with Original Equipment Manufacturers on product issues and updates.
  • Provide first-level support and final resolution to end-user requests.
  • Responsible for layout and editing of company-controlled manuals, revisions, and bulletins.
  • Assist operations/maintenance personnel, vendors, and other employees to access required company resources.
  • Standardize content across platforms and media.
  • Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and require fewer instructions.
  • Organize and write supporting content for products in accordance with OEM technical data.
  • Ensure compliance levels are accurately documented and reported.
Requirements:
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Engineering degree.
  • Engine MRO experience.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical writer.
  • Understanding of FAA/EASA regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Research technical information to develop technical documents.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and personal organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of CFM56-3, 5B & -7B experience.
  • Lean experience.
