About the Role :

We are looking for a Junior Technical Writer who has a knack for understanding code and translating complex technical information into clear and concise software design documents. You will play a key role in documenting the functionality and technical aspects of our SaaS insurance product, helping streamline the development process and ensuring the team can quickly comprehend existing and new features.

Key Responsibilities :

- Review and understand existing code to create comprehensive and accurate software design documents.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and clarify technical details.

- Write clear, structured documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and API references.

- Ensure consistency and quality in documentation across all technical materials.

- Maintain and update documentation as new features are developed or existing features change.

- Assist in developing documentation templates and best practices for the team.

Requirements :

- Basic to intermediate experience in understanding and analyzing code. Javascript

- Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.

- Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in Computer Science, Technical Writing, or a related field.

- Experience with documentation tools and platforms (e.g. GitHub Pages, Confluence).

- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment.

- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Prior experience in writing technical documentation or working as part of a software development team.

- Familiarity with SaaS products and understanding of the insurance industry is a plus.
