Job Description:

The Director of Engineering for our e-commerce platform will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of scalable architecture, ensuring seamless customer experiences across both B2B and B2C channels.

This role requires a deep understanding of software engineering principles, with a strong focus on building high-performance systems that meet the needs of diverse customer bases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical strategies to drive business growth through innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions that prioritize scalability, security, and usability
  • Lead and mentor high-performing teams to achieve exceptional results in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • 14-18 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in e-commerce domain for at least 5-6 years
  • Leadership experience guiding teams of 30+ engineers to build secure, modular, and performant systems for web and mobile applications
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively with global product and design teams to deliver seamless customer experiences
  • Deep grasp of platform architecture, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native development is essential for success in this position
