Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Educator to join our academic team.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to teach and mentor students in a laboratory setting. As a Laboratory Educator, you will be responsible for designing and delivering practical sessions, maintaining lab safety, and collaborating with faculty members to align laboratory content with theoretical components of the course.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging laboratory sessions for undergraduate students in allied and healthcare programs.
  • Supervise and evaluate student practical skills aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and ensure timely calibration and servicing.
  • Enforce safety protocols, infection control measures, and proper waste disposal practices.
  • Collaborate with academic faculty to align laboratory content with theoretical components of the course.
  • Provide technical support to students during skill development and internal assessments.
  • Participate in curriculum review and development of new laboratory manuals.
  • Maintain documentation for laboratory sessions, stock registers, and compliance audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (minimum) in relevant Allied and Healthcare field (Medical Laboratory Technology or Cardiac Care Technology or Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology) from a recognized university.
  • Master's Degree or additional certifications is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in a laboratory/clinical setting or academic institution.
  • Prior experience in academic instruction is an added advantage.
