Cloud Data Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines using cloud-based technologies such as AWS Glue, EMR/Spark, and Kafka/Kinesis streaming.

You will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. Your expertise in relational database design and development will be crucial in building efficient and scalable data systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design and implement data pipelines using AWS Glue, Python, EMR/Spark, and Kafka/Kinesis streaming.
  • Relational Database Management: Develop and maintain relational databases using Aurora Postgres.
  • SQL Query Writing: Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to optimize data processing.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • Cloud Experience**: Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS preferred) with experience in services like Aurora/RDS, Glue, Lambda, EC2, S3, EMR, Step Functions, Cloud Trail, and Cloud Watch.
  • Data Pipeline Skills**: Hands-on experience building data pipelines using Glue, Python, EMR/Spark, and Kafka/Kinesis streaming.
  • Database Expertise**: Extensive experience with relational database design and development, with a preference for Aurora Postgres.
  • SQL Proficiency**: Hands-on experience with Postgres SQL writing complex queries and stored procedures.
