Compliance Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Specialist to assume responsibility for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with IFSCA, SEZ, and SEBI AIF, Ancillary Services, PMS Guidelines and Regulations, FEMA, Anti-Money Laundering laws, and assist on KYC requirements under legislations and ensure procedures are followed and regularly reviewed.
  • Ensure secretarial compliances under the Companies Act, 2013, and develop good corporate governance practices for companies. Arrange board/general meetings and prepare minutes thereof.
  • Follow-up on matters where required to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain secretarial records, statutory books, and registers, and handle statutory & internal audits.
  • Respond to inspections, regulatory, and audit queries as the principal point of contact. Prepare, file, and register forms, returns, applications, or other documentation as required by and on behalf of companies with Special Economic Zone Authorities, IFSCA SEBI, RBI, or other regulatory authorities.
  • Handle special assignments relating to business initiatives impacting Compliance and Legal affairs. Implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct compliance training for employees. Draft, review, negotiate, execute contracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Statement of Works, Licensing Agreements, and other legal documents pertaining to the company and client companies.
  • Draft and standardize all legal documents of business and other documents relating to the company.
  • Provide legal solutions/remedies to Business Teams to mitigate risk involved in business transactions. Ability to Liaise with Regulatory and SEZ authorities as and when required.
Requirements:
  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Law or related field.
  • Professional Certifications: Certified Compliance Professional (CCP), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
