Job Summary

The role of a Credit Risk Analyst involves overseeing and managing the lending process to minimize potential losses. This includes evaluating the creditworthiness of applicants, analyzing financial data, and monitoring portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement credit risk models to assess lending risks in an unsecured rural/semi-urban context.
  • Implement and monitor credit risk strategies across the lending life cycle – acquisition, underwriting, cross-sell & collections.
  • Review portfolio trends and analyze risk metrics for early warning signals.
  • Evaluate risk policies to ensure they align with the company's risk appetite and external environment.
  • Analyze industry data, prepare management information reports, and brief senior management on market conditions.
  • Regularly review processes for adherence to risk policies and verify controls are in place.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen the risk framework.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a reputable institution.
  • 3-6 years of experience in risk management in a lending organization.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Python and SQL is mandatory.
  • Excellent understanding of data analysis and ability to derive insights.
  • Solid knowledge of statistical models.
  • Experience in Microfinance/MSME Lending is an added advantage.
