Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Taxation Manager to lead our team in taxation services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide and motivate a team of tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and detailed review of complex financial services client returns, including hedge funds, private equity, and fund of funds.
  • Detailed review of state returns for financial services clients.
  • Identify international filing requirements by org chart study and review international tax returns.
  • Train existing/new joiners on concepts, technology, and provide timely feedback for each project reviewed.
  • Supervise kick-off calls to understand the client, regular connects with counterparts, and intervene in budget conflicts, resource scheduling conflicts, etc.
  • Guide staff/senior on potential tax adjustments due to tax law changes, e-filing validations.
  • Recruitments, training, performance evaluation, mentoring team members.
  • Constant connects with counterparts to ensure adherence to timelines, high quality through consistent learning.
  • Enable the team towards achieving organizational goals.
  • Facilitate trainings and help in developing training materials for technical topics.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to do independent tax research in unseen tax scenarios.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Ready to learn new tax software.
  • Quick learner, enthusiastic, positive demeanor, and a team player.
  • Ready to work long hours during busy season times.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work based on urgency of projects.
  • Good at multi-tasking and handling various projects simultaneously.
  • Good at training and supervising staff and getting work done in a timely manner.
  • Ability to guide subordinates through technical problems.
  • Build working relationships with peers, supervisors, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (US), IRS Enrolled Agent.
  • Experience in detail review of tax returns.
  • Knowledge of CCh Axcess Tax, Gofile room, Case ware.
  • Relevant experience more than 5+ years with major experience into Financial Services Returns.
