Engineering Operations Assistant

The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the management of all engineering maintenance operations. This includes maintaining the building grounds and physical plant, ensuring safety and security, and protecting assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with managing the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with facility regulations and safety standards.
  • Manage and control heat, light, and power, and recommend current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations.
  • Develop specifications and requirements for service contracts and administer such contracts to support building needs.
  • Distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitor timeliness and quality of completion.
  • Oversee the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities.
Requirements:

This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and 2 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or a related field. Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, and plumbing is also required. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, or a related major is acceptable. No prior experience is necessary.
