Job Title: Senior Road Infrastructure Manager

Are you a seasoned engineering professional looking to take on a leadership role in road infrastructure management? Do you have experience in project management, team guidance, and stakeholder liaison?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our UK iCRC Communities team as a Senior Road Infrastructure Manager. As a key member of our discipline, you will be responsible for the day-to-day project management of various UK schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver projects, ensuring they meet budget, programme, and technical standards.
  • Manage a team of experienced and developing technical staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and apply advanced engineering concepts to solve unique problems.
  • Seek innovation in scheme delivery and technique development.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of technical issues and risks.
  • Contribute to our Lean approach, driving efficiency and removing waste from processes.
  • Guide, supervise, and direct team members in technical and project management matters.
  • Provide mentorship and manage early career professionals, ensuring technical excellence.
  • Assist the Discipline Head in producing periodic reports, such as project performance and forecast utilisation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in UK highway design, including road geometry, restraint systems, site clearance, pavement, signage, and markings.
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully leading teams and managing stakeholders.
  • Ability to direct and check the use of relevant design software, such as Civil 3D, Open Roads, PDS/Key Line, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in resource and project management, with a focus on delivering projects to budget and programme.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical specifications and reports.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a recognised institution.
  • Experience on design and build projects, with a focus on financial management and Lean principles.
  • Ability to demonstrate clear and successful liaison and coordination on multi-discipline projects.
