Plantation Agricultural Specialist

The Assistant Manager is a pivotal role within the Biofuel Circle team, overseeing farm operations and ensuring effective end-to-end management. This involves planning, procurement, and daily monitoring to achieve targeted yield and quality outcomes.

This field-based position requires close collaboration with labors and offers an excellent opportunity for Agriculture graduate students to gain hands-on experience contributing significantly to their personal and professional growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operations Management
  • Land Preparation: Validating land packages for Energy Crop Farming and developing planting, cultivation, and harvesting plans.
  • Resource Utilization: Overseeing the efficient use of resources, including land, labor, machinery, and finances.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring high-quality crops and products through adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Yield Enhancement: Implementing strategies to improve crop yields and overall productivity.
  • Labor Optimization: Developing and maintaining an efficient workforce, including recruitment, training, and supervision.

• Sustainability and Compliance
  • Sustainable Practices: Implementing and maintaining sustainable agricultural practices, including environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards.

• Communication and Leadership
  • Team Leadership: Training, motivating, and leading a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Digital integration: Monitoring and reporting of all plantation sites
• Land Preparation: Overseeing land clearing, preparation, and maintenance.
• Planting and Cultivation: Supervising planting, fertilization, pest control, gap filling, and other cultivation activities.
• Harvesting and Post-Harvest Handling: Managing harvesting operations and ensuring proper post-harvest handling and storage.
• Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all plantation activities.
