Executive Engineering Director

This is a senior leadership role within the engineering team, overseeing strategic initiatives and driving excellence across all resort facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in senior leadership roles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high-quality engineering standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting sustainable practices aligned with global hospitality standards. They will also oversee large-scale capital projects, manage annual budgets, and approve expenditures for maintenance and capital projects.

In this role, you will work closely with resort teams to resolve any issues that may arise, while also driving energy conservation initiatives and reducing consumption. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring engineering teams to enhance their skills and knowledge, as well as promoting a culture of safety, service, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Oversight: Develop and implement engineering strategies to drive excellence and efficiency across all resorts.
  • Maintenance & Operations: Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensure effective operation of MEP systems, and coordinate troubleshooting efforts.
  • Energy & Sustainability: Drive energy conservation initiatives, reduce consumption, and implement sustainable practices aligned with global hospitality standards.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure regulatory compliance, conduct regular audits, and proactively mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Team Development & Management: Recruit, train, and mentor engineering teams, promote a culture of safety, service, and continuous improvement, and develop effective communication channels.
  • Budgeting & Financial Management: Manage annual engineering budgets, approve expenditures, and optimize resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Certifications: Advanced certifications in facility or energy management are desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in hospitality engineering, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
