Job Overview:

The role of a Merchandiser involves managing the end-to-end merchandising process in woven garments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Design teams for seasonal collections as per customer requirements.
  • Develop samples, negotiate prices, and confirm orders with buyers.
  • Manage material orders according to timelines and improve budget and costs.
  • Ensure exceptional attention to detail, work independently, and adapt to changing environments and challenges.
  • Handle small and high-value businesses effectively.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Utilize technical knowledge of woven garment manufacturing for different categories.
  • Lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Demonstrate ownership and commitment to job responsibilities for result-driven achievements.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, or Fashion Technology.
  • 1-8 years of experience as a Merchandiser in a woven garment factory (buyer handling experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MIS systems.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
