AS400 Development Expertise Required

The ideal candidate will have minimum 3+ years of experience in the development industry with exposure to the complete life cycle of development on CLP/RPG/RPGLE for commercial applications.

  1. Extensive knowledge of AS400 technology including RPGLE, CLLE, DB2, and ILE is essential. The candidate should have a working knowledge of modular programming in ILE-RPG, including modules, service programs, etc.
  2. Able to appreciate and apply effort estimation, unit testing principles, and write comprehensive unit test cases/plans.
  3. Experience in trouble shooting during various phases of development is necessary.
  4. Reasonable working experience of coding new (and changing) complex CL programs is required.
  5. Familiarity with DB2 concepts and associated methodologies is also expected.
  6. Good English communication skills and experience in multi-culture work environment are mandatory.

Additional preferred skills include experience in the Insurance domain, ability to work as part of a larger team, proven ability to work well under pressure, self-motivation, flexibility, responsibility, and a desire for quality.
