A prominent architectural practice in Kochi, India seeks a senior accountant to oversee project progress, investigate variances, and ensure timely billings and payments.

The role involves day-to-day finance functions within the business, including maintaining accounting systems, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and assisting with financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain accurate records of project accounts in the accounting system.
  • Maintain project-related records, including drawdown schedules, variation orders, invoices, and statements of account.
  • Evaluate and update company accounting systems and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets, financial plans, and other financial documents as required.
  • Foster effective working relationships with external auditors and address findings and recommendations promptly.
  • Analyze and report on company funds, assets, and investments to ensure financial stability.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant with five years of experience in the architecture/design/construction industry or similar environment.
  • Three to five years of experience in GST and TDS filing is mandatory.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial documents.

This role requires strong organizational awareness, teamwork, and client focus, with the ability to impact outcomes while maintaining confidentiality.
