Key Responsibilities of a Direct Taxation Professional:

• Prepare and file income tax returns for companies and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs).

• Handle income tax notices, investigations, and proceedings.

• Manage income tax assessments, including transfer pricing with preparation.

• Represent clients in appellate levels, including Dispute Resolution Panels (DRPs), with documentation preparation.

• Prepare and file TDS/TCS returns for companies and LLPs.

• Handle TDS proceedings and tax demands from the Tax Recovery Centre System (TRACES).

• Compute provisions for current taxes.

• Ensure income tax compliance for Structured Format Returns (SFT), Master File, Advance Tax, Form 10IC, and Form 15CA.

• Finalize transfer pricing audits, tax audits, and restructuring of existing tax structures.

• Offer advisory services on direct taxation matters.

• Demonstrate working knowledge of SAP/ERP accounting software and ITR software.

• Display understanding of Accounting Standards (AS) and Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS) as well as Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations.
