Cloud-Native Platform Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud-Native Platform Engineer to lead our team and advance our cloud-native platform. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will oversee the development and deployment of our cloud-based systems.

This is a hybrid position that requires collaboration with global teams across the organization. If you have experience in leading DevOps projects and driving decision-making, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead DevOps projects and drive them forward through strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the DevOps team and provide support for our infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mentor and guide fellow team members to ensure their growth and success.
  • Build, deploy, monitor, and support software to ensure continuous reliability of systems capacity and performance.
  • Contribute to architecture and technical discussions to shape the future of our platform.
  • Provide on-call support and be responsible for fixing production issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in programming, system operations, and distributed systems.
  • Proven experience in a lead role with strong ownership, decision-making, and team mentorship skills.
  • Proficient in leveraging CI/CD tools such as Spinnaker, ArgoCD, or Jenkins to automate testing and deployment.
  • Proven professional experience supporting cloud-based Production Systems in Azure, GCP, or AWS.
  • Strong programming language experience: Golang, Java, Python, Groovy, Node.js.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, including AWS/GCP/Azure, and knowledge of VPC, NATs, and routers.
  • Professional experience building, deploying, scaling, and supporting high-performance distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with database systems, including internal infrastructure, transaction processing, and real-time event-driven processing.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other engineers.
  • Eligible to work flexible hours for on-call rotations and eligible to work on-site on a hybrid schedule.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study, or relevant work experience.
