Job Title

The Testing Equipment Specialist is responsible for ensuring manufacturing process compliance with legal, safety, customer and standard requirements. Maintaining uptime of testing equipment and identifying part failure issues in testers are key tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturing process compliance with legal and safety requirements, customer requirements, standards and specifications.
  • Maintain the uptime of testing equipment including Functional Testers, Flash Testers, In-Circuit Testers and Intermediate test stations.
  • Identify part failure issues in testers and conduct in-depth investigations into tester card failures, contact pin issues and wire harness problems.
  • Prepare analysis reports for each occurrence including recommended measures for resolution.
  • Implement problem-solving techniques to address and resolve issues effectively.
  • Manage spare parts and ensure availability and readiness. Manage obsolete spares efficiently.
  • Participate in design reviews providing input on testability and reliability aspects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address open issues and incorporate feedback.
  • Perform tooling management tasks.
  • Escalate open points and breakdowns to suppliers and work towards closing them.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Periodic Tasks:
  • Evaluate and integrate new automated testing tools and methodologies.
  • Analyze test results and provide feedback to process owners and product development teams.
  • Coordinate improvement activities with process owners.
  • Adapt quickly to change management.
  • Create Machine FMEA and review. Change potential points into CBM.
  • Deploy knowledge transfer and lessons learned across team members.
  • Implement productivity and process improvements.
  • Identify potential quality risks and take proactive action.
Occasional Tasks:
  • Optimize resources and reduce electrical power consumption as well as pneumatic nitrogen chilled water and vacuum usage.
  • Involve in customer complaint problem solving.
  • Collaborate with other manufacturing locations.
  • Support production through system and point CIPs.
  • Support cross-functional teams.
  • Implement digital systems in maintenance like i4.0 solutions AI/ML BOT RPA predictive maintenance etc.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechatronics or Electronics.
  • 2-4 years of experience in testing breakdown maintenance worked in electronic manufacturing industries.
