Our organization is seeking a seasoned expert in Oracle database administration to assume a key leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management, optimization, and security of our Oracle database infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in administering multiple Oracle databases across various environments, including production, development, and QA. They should be well-versed in performing installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations, as well as optimizing database performance using advanced techniques.
A strong understanding of high availability and disaster recovery configurations, including Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate, is also essential. Additionally, the candidate should have expertise in implementing and testing robust backup/recovery strategies using RMAN and/or third-party tools.
Automation skills, including shell scripting, PL/SQL, or Python, are highly desirable. Collaboration with the SAP Basis team to support SAP systems using Oracle, including performance tuning and backup coordination, is also required.
The selected individual will be expected to ensure database compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards, participate in capacity planning, infrastructure scaling, and cloud database strategy, and lead database initiatives such as cloud adoption, consolidation, and disaster recovery planning.
They will also provide 24x7 support for critical systems and assist in root cause analysis for database-related incidents.
