Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Financial Infrastructure Leader to join our team. This role is responsible for shaping the infrastructure for financial services used by millions of customers.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing large-scale cloud environments, production-grade Kubernetes clusters, and network services and protocols. They will also possess strong skills in security, Unix/Linux operating systems internals, centralized logging systems, metrics, and tooling frameworks.

A successful candidate will be able to drive execution of technical deliverables with a focus on quality, timely delivery, and long-term impact. They will also provide strong technical direction and hands-on support to ensure delivery of scalable and robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of ~10 engineers, creating a collaborative, growth-oriented, and high-performance environment.
  • Manage all aspects of your team's employee lifecycle, including performance reviews, providing feedback, compensation discussions, and leave approvals.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for individuals and the team; continuously track performance and coach for improvement.
  • Drive execution of technical deliverables with a focus on quality, timely delivery, and long-term impact.
  • Collaborate with business, product, compliance, and HR stakeholders to align engineering initiatives with company goals.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience as DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineer.
  • 2+ years of experience managing high-performance, sustainable teams.
  • Expertise in managing large-scale cloud environments (preferably AWS and Oracle).
  • Expertise in managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
  • Strong skills in network services and protocols, such as DNS, TLS/SSL, etc.
  • Solid understanding of security, network, service configurations, access control, IAM, etc.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals (e.g., filesystems, user management, etc.).
  • Expertise in skill sets for centralized logging systems, metrics, and tooling frameworks such as ELK, Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, and Grafana, etc.

Preferred Skills

  • Skilled in managing and building high-scale API gateways, service meshes, and related infrastructure components.
  • Proficiency in system monitoring, incident management, and driving operational excellence through metrics.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC best practices (code reviews, testing, CI/CD, on-call processes).
  • Good understanding of infrastructure cost drivers and ways to keep costs low.
