Financial Analyst Role

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of assigned General Ledger (GL) close tasks.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in General Ledger close activities, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and roll-forwards for month-end close.
  • A strong analytical mind and effective oral and written communication skills are essential for this position.
  • The Financial Analyst will work closely with other teams to resolve issues/open items in reconciliations and serve as a point of contact for imparting knowledge to other team members on query resolution.

Key objectives for this position include:

  • Ensuring the timely completion of assigned GL close tasks.
  • Monitoring month-end close progress according to the close calendar and communicating any delays promptly to management.
  • Tracking GL close-related issues and coordinating with IT and other functional owners to ensure timely resolution.
  • Supporting various GL projects by providing business requirements.
  • Reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and roll-forwards for month-end close.
  • Assisting in balance sheet account flux analysis.
  • Collaborating closely with other teams to resolve issues/open items in reconciliations.
  • Serving as a point of contact for imparting knowledge to other team members on query resolution.

Minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • Qualified CA/CPA or any other professional accounting qualification.
  • 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Hands-on experience in General Ledger close activities.

Additional skills required for this role include:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively with global accounting teams and work independently to resolve issues.
  • High energy and a team player.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones/geographies and with key global stakeholders.
  • SAP ERP experience desirable for GL.
  • Experience in reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in MS suite applications Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
