Job Opportunity: System Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and maintaining our systems infrastructure.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Deploying product updates to ensure optimal system performance;
  • Identifying and resolving production issues in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Implementing integrations that meet customer needs and requirements;
  • Providing Level 2 technical support to internal teams;
  • Benchmarking and optimizing system performance;
  • Developing and implementing tools to reduce errors and improve customer experience;
  • Performing root cause analysis for production errors;
  • Investigating and resolving technical issues in a proactive and reactive manner;

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience (0-2 years);
  • Familiarity with Ruby or Python programming languages;
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL framework;
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux Administration & troubleshooting;
  • Scripting expertise (Shell scripting, Python, Perl);
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, routing);
  • Basics on Java, C++, Ansible, Nginx, Apache, Tomcat;
  • Knowledge of data storage solutions (MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, Commvault);
  • Installation of packages, patch management, and upgrades;
  • Understanding of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service environment.
