Job Title - Site Reliability Engineer

  • This role involves playing a highly critical operational role, applying a combination of software and systems engineering skills to develop and maintain distributed, real-time systems that serve key stakeholders in our Global business.
  • Optimizing the operations of existing systems and infrastructure through automation and tooling, ensuring efficiency and scalability are crucial aspects of this position.
  • Building out foundational technical components of a robust SRE program across multiple complex systems, both new and existing, will be a core responsibility.
  • Collaborating with development and quant teams to ensure changes align with measurable Service Level Objectives (SLOs) across user interactions is essential for success in this role.
  • Monitoring system capacity and performance, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks and sources of instability before they affect stakeholders, requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on automation code developed by peers, maintaining high standards of code quality and efficiency, is an important aspect of this role.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving system issues, analyzing their impact on infrastructure and service operations, requires strong technical expertise and ability to work under pressure.
  • Participating in or leading design reviews with peers and stakeholders, evaluating and selecting the best technologies and automation strategies for our needs, is a key part of this role.
What You'll Need
  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role is required.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and PowerShell; ability to comprehend C# and develop basic applications are necessary.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, cloud-based services and infrastructure (AWS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Configuration Management (Ansible) is desirable.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of ownership is expected.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards is mandatory.
