Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled legal professional to lead our property law team.

The role involves end-to-end management of property transactions and conveyancing, including drafting, negotiation, due diligence, and compliance.

  • Draft, vet, and negotiate agreements for property acquisitions, rentals, and disposals, ensuring seamless transaction processes.
  • Provide expert legal support for real estate matters, including due diligence, risk assessment, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Liaise with external counsel, government bodies, and regulatory authorities on property-related issues, fostering strong relationships.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of all property registration documents, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive contract database for all real estate transactions, facilitating efficient record-keeping.
  • Conduct thorough legal due diligence of properties, verifying title and encumbrance status.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in real estate and property law, advising management on best practices.

Key Requirements:

  • LLB degree with 4–10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven expertise in real estate, property law, and conveyancing, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating agreements for leave & license, lease deeds, and sale transactions.
  • Working knowledge of RERA, municipal, and development authority regulations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records, documentation, and trackers.
  • Strong English proficiency (verbal and written).
  • Flexibility to contribute to other legal workstreams beyond property/conveyance when required.
