Lead Architect & Project Manager

We seek a seasoned architect to spearhead high-impact consultancy projects, driving innovative design and regulatory excellence across diverse sectors.

  • Oversee large-scale projects with full design and regulatory strategy oversight.
  • Manage small to mid-value projects independently, ensuring seamless delivery of architectural documentation.
  • Chair interdisciplinary meetings, coordinate teams, set clear project goals, and manage resources to meet deadlines.

Technical Expertise & Quality Assurance

  • Review architectural, civil, and MEP drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve design or coordination issues in MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external engineers to prevent technical clashes.

Compliance & Permit Management

  • Develop permit application strategies and maintain proactive communication with regulatory authorities.
  • Interpret and enforce local/national building codes, fire regulations, and municipal by-laws.
  • Lead submission of compliance documents and manage responses to authority queries.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Mentor architects, drafters, and interns to ensure well-coordinated technical outputs.
  • Uphold quality standards for documentation and design integrity.
  • Develop quality control protocols for architectural and MEP coordination across projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience leading commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Deep experience preparing statutory documents for municipal and specialist agencies.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office; experience with project scheduling tools is a plus.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience with MEP drawing review, coordination, and quality assurance.
  • Strong technical communicator with excellent leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards.
  • Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture (COA) is a plus.
