Designing pressure control equipment for demanding environments is a critical challenge that requires expertise in API 6A standards.

The role of a Senior Design Engineer involves leading the development of high-performance equipment while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

  • Develop detailed designs and specifications for pressure control equipment, including valves, wellhead components, and tree assemblies.
  • Create accurate 3D models, engineering drawings, and bill of materials using CAD tools like Inventor.
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and mechanical calculations to validate design integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design, manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain processes.
  • Provide technical support for prototype testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
  • Expert knowledge of API 6A product design and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, API 6A, and API Q1 standards.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, and heat treatment.
