System Reliability Engineer

As a key member of our IT team, we are seeking an experienced System Reliability Engineer to join our ranks. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and driving the system reliability backlog, working closely with senior stakeholders to prioritize and implement projects that improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our IT systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement services that improve IT and support teams by incorporating software engineering aspects, ranging from production code changes to alerting and monitoring adjustments.
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing tools and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate weaknesses in incident management and software delivery, leveraging proprietary tools and automation techniques to drive business value.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing expert-level support and escalation management to ensure minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Document knowledge and best practices, maintaining accurate records of system configuration, troubleshooting procedures, and other relevant information.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of monitoring and log analytics tools, including Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, CloudWatch, and X-Ray.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Ruby, with expertise in developing automation tools and scripts.
  • Mastery of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and AWS CLI).
  • CI/CD expertise, including setup and maintenance of pipelines using tools like Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, and AWS CodePipeline.
