Senior PLM Consultant – Strategic Windchill Upgrade

This is a strategic project that requires expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) specifically PTC Windchill. The Senior PMO Consultant will lead the global Windchill v13 upgrade project, supporting a high-priority program within the healthcare and life sciences industry.

The role entails leading the planning and execution of a Windchill v13 upgrade ensuring business continuity, platform modernization, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, managing change control processes, overseeing overall project execution and risk mitigation, serving as an escalation point for project risks and issues, and ensuring seamless integration between Windchill and SAP NSP/ECC systems.

Additional key responsibilities include validating BOM structures, ECN workflows, and product data governance, managing vendor relationships, enforcing Service Level Agreements, negotiating boundaries, and resolving conflicts between system integrators. The ideal candidate will have experience in similar roles, possessing strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning and execution of a Windchill v13 upgrade ensuring business continuity, platform modernization, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop detailed project plans incorporating PMBOK standards and stakeholder requirements.
  • Manage change control processes and oversee overall project execution and risk mitigation.
  • Serve as escalation point for project risks and issues applying structured problem-solving to resolve challenges.
  • Oversee validation protocols and compliance deliverables according to FDA, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
  • Collaborate with Quality Systems Managers, CSV leads, and PLM/PDM owners to validate BOM structures, ECN workflows, and product data governance.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Windchill and SAP NSP/ECC systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships, enforcing Service Level Agreements, negotiating boundaries, and resolving conflicts between system integrators.
  • Lead steering committees, executive reporting, RAID log ownership, and cross-vendor governance.
  • Drive organizational change management training plans, communications, adoption metrics.
  • Oversee budget, financial tracking, project sizing, and forecasting.
