Job Description:

As a seasoned FPGA design expert, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge FPGA solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Your key responsibility will be to conceptualize, design, and implement complex FPGA designs that drive innovation in our Test products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D Project Managers, Product Architects, Solution Teams, FPGA developers, Software Qualification Engineers, and Software Engineers, to craft new product offerings and enhance existing ones.

Key qualifications include:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or electronic engineering
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in R&D FPGA development (Altera, Xilinx)
  • Familiarity with RTL languages such as VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGA Tools Design Flow - Vivado, Chipscope, Quartus
  • Proficiency in EDA Functional Simulation tools – Synopsys or Mentor or Cadence
  • Ability to rapidly learn new technologies, protocols, and product segments
  • Expertise in creating self-checking simulation environments involving test benches, scripts for automation, and writing test cases
  • Collaboration with system architects to define system architecture and determine how the FPGA will interface with other components on the PCA board and choose an appropriate FPGA based on project requirements
  • Experience with timing closure for complex designs
  • Excellent written communication skills required for creating documents like Product Definition, Detailed FPGA Design, Hardware & Software Interface documents

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Keysight instruments like Oscilloscopes, Analyzers, AWG & BERT
  • Knowledge of working with Protocols such as PCI Express, USB, MIPI (MPHY, DPHY, CPHY based), Ethernet, DDR, etc.
  • International collaboration experience (US & EUR)
  • Multi-vendor collaboration experience (software supplied by and/or to external organizations)
