The Director of Philanthropy will play a pivotal role in shaping our fundraising strategy, fostering strong relationships with corporate partners, and leading the development of new program partnerships.

- Identify and develop funding opportunities, analyzing market trends and information to inform strategic decisions.

- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective funder and corporate partners, aligning their philanthropic interests with our organizational priorities.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to co-create project ideas for fundraising across various projects, ensuring alignment with our strategic priorities and research focus.

- Develop and implement strategies to engage with target funder groups, utilizing effective communication and presentation skills to secure partnerships.

- Participate in networking events and industry forums to position our organization, leverage industry trends, and identify partnership opportunities.

- Track commitments and reporting requirements, managing deadlines and working closely with project leads to prepare reports.

- Conduct due diligence on funding partners and individuals, ensuring compliance with relevant codes of practice and regulatory requirements.

- Drive fund-raising efforts, striving to exceed set targets annually through effective team management and collaboration.

Educational Qualifications and Experience Required

- A Master's degree in Management, Business Administration, or Economics is required, with a minimum of 15-20 years of work experience preferably in B2B sales or non-profit fundraising.

- Prior association with philanthropy and fundraising is an advantage, along with outstanding relationship management skills and the ability to present and influence at various seniority levels.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and assess information rapidly.

- Excellent written and oral communication, as well as presentation skills.

- Ability to adapt to changing team needs and the organizational environment, with a focus on continuous learning and professional development.

- This role requires extensive travel, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
