Database Management Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Management Expert to join our team. As a key member of our database administration group, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of our SQL databases.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with a proven track record of managing large-scale SQL databases to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Database Administration: Administer and maintain large-scale SQL databases to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Database Design: Design, implement, and manage database schemas, tables, and relationships to support business needs.
  • Query Development: Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database administration.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in database administration, preferably with exposure to SQL.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and visualization.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of UK Payments Infrastructure is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Data Governance: Proficiency in Data Governance, Data Quality, and Domain Management principles.
  • Industry Knowledge: Sound understanding of the wider Payments sector.
