Process and Policy Manager

Job Title: Process and Policy Manager
Location: Mumbai
BU/Function: Consumer Bank
Reports to: Head - Retail Liabilities & Payment Products

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Implementation and adherence of all compliance related items and help in external and internal audits
  • Responsible for strengthening systems, control and Processes for robust internal and external compliance
  • Liaison with different departments and make sure all RBI related circulars are strictly adhered to
  • Good understanding of RBI Processes & Policies, Audit Parameters, AML Guidelines, Fraud Management
  • Responsible for all regulatory reporting related to policies and processes including reporting to RBI / AML / CPU Teams
  • Determine impact of introducing new or revised policies for Branches / Customers / Products
  • Serve as a focal point to ensure continuity, proper integration and implementation of new or revised policies and processes
  • Build synergies and efficiencies by way of customer centric processes
  • Interact and co-ordinate with multiple product teams and businessfunctions for effective and efficient delivery within specified timelines
  • Draft and review process guidelines for Product Teams; Act as a mediator for answering questions related to policies & processes
  • Identify duplicate, redundant and unproductive tasks in processes with an aim to reduce costs and improve productivity of the front line staff
  • Ensure Processes and policies are aligned to internal and external guidelines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and adhere to all compliance related items and participate in external and internal audits.
  • Develop and maintain strong systems, controls, and processes to ensure robust internal and external compliance.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure strict adherence to RBI-related circulars.
  • Have a solid understanding of RBI processes, policies, audit parameters, AML guidelines, and fraud management.
  • Be responsible for all regulatory reporting related to policies and processes, including reporting to RBI, AML, and CPU teams.
  • Assess the impact of introducing new or revised policies on branches, customers, and products.
  • Serve as a key point of contact to ensure continuity, proper integration, and implementation of new or revised policies and processes.
  • Develop customer-centric processes to build synergies and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with multiple product teams and business functions to deliver results efficiently and effectively within specified timelines.
  • Develop and review process guidelines for product teams and serve as a mediator for policy-related inquiries.
  • Identify and eliminate duplicate, redundant, or unproductive tasks in processes to reduce costs and improve front-line staff productivity.
  • Ensure alignment of processes and policies with internal and external guidelines.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

Education - Preferable MBA from Tier 1/Tier 2 college

Work Experience - Prior experience in setting up policies & processes for Liabilities Products will be an added advantage
