Job Title: Internal Audit Specialist

A leading organization is seeking a skilled Internal Audit Specialist to join its team. As an integral part of the internal audit function, this role will be responsible for planning and executing financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with applicable standards.

  • Assess internal controls, identify weaknesses, and recommend process improvements to ensure the company's operations are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client personnel to gather necessary information and provide timely recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and auditing standards to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support junior team members through on-the-job training and guidance to ensure their success in the role.
  • Participate in special projects, internal initiatives, and risk assessments as required to support the company's goals.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent certification.
  • 1-4 years of audit experience in a public accounting firm or internal audit role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit software (e.g., CaseWare, IDEA, ACL).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
