Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for promoting operational readiness, security, health, and performance for our clients across various Oracle versions and platforms.

  • Promote operational readiness, security, health, and performance for our clients across various Oracle versions and platforms.
  • Develop and sustain multiple clients in cloud-based Oracle environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to develop new customer transition, administration, and maintenance plans.
  • Ensure continuous communications in a consultative approach to meet client needs.
  • Manage and optimize Oracle Exadata systems (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand).
  • Administer Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate).
  • Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automate database operations using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams for hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
  • Evaluate database security, compliance, and audit readiness across Exadata and OCI environments.
  • Provide on-call support and participate in scheduled maintenance windows.
  • Consult on additional opportunities and review operational metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of production database support experience.
