We are seeking a seasoned investment professional to join our team as a Portfolio Manager, Private Markets. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for co-managing private markets solutions end-to-end in partnership with internal teams and external managers.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing or supporting multi-manager portfolios in private asset classes. They should possess a deep understanding of institutional investment management and multi-asset team collaboration.

This is a hybrid role requiring four days in office per week in New York City. We offer a collaborative work environment and opportunities for career growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support portfolio construction and asset allocation across strategies
  • Partner with internal and external investment teams to select and monitor investments
  • Oversight of the investment lifecycle for various investment types, including primaries, secondaries, and co-investments, across private asset classes
  • Due diligence and underwriting process for new investments
  • Liquidity, capital deployment, and risk management for private market solutions
  • Portfolio holdings monitoring and reporting, including manager oversight
  • Representation of FTIS in client meetings and stakeholder discussions

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant private markets investing experience, including infrastructure as a limited partner or institutional allocator
  • Experience managing or supporting multi-manager portfolios in private asset classes
  • Proven record in institutional investment management and multi-asset team collaboration
  • Experience with evergreen or semi-liquid fund structures and liquidity management
  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or equivalent preferred; advanced degrees are a plus

Technical Skills:

  • Broad experience as an institutional allocator in private equity, credit, and real assets
  • Proficiency in portfolio construction, capital allocation, and risk management
  • Underwriting experience for co-investments and fund investments, including general partner assessment
  • Understanding of infrastructure sectors and asset types: renewable energy, digital infrastructure, logistics, and social infrastructure
  • Familiarity with semi-liquid fund structures
  • Comfort with valuation oversight, performance analytics, and reporting for private assets

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to explain investment concepts to private wealth audiences
  • Professional presence for client meetings and due diligence
  • Integrity and professionalism in fiduciary roles
