Product Design and Development Opportunity

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sourcing and developing components within the mechanical, electronics, mechatronics or electric vehicle (EV) sector.

This position involves designing and prototyping wheelchair frames, drive modules, and ergonomic components. The successful candidate will also be responsible for integrating motors, batteries, and control systems with structural design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and prototype wheelchair frames, drive modules, and ergonomic components.
  • Assist in gathering insights on market needs and consumer trends to inform product development.
  • Engineer lightweight, robust load-bearing structures (FEA validation).
  • Integrate motors, batteries, and control systems with structural design.
  • Collaborate with vendors for precision fabrication and quality delivery.
  • Conduct testing for durability, safety, and compliance.
  • Optimize materials and processes for cost, weight, and performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 2–4 years' experience in product development (mobility, automotive, or structural products).
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping.
  • Exposure to EV/mechatronic systems is a plus.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and have strong communication skills. They will also be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
