Experienced VFX Mentor Required

Our studio specializes in VFX for Japanese films and seeks a skilled mentor to enhance our expertise.

To achieve this goal, we need an experienced Supervisor with Hollywood film production experience to teach and direct our artists in the field of VFX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Houdini Software Training for Film and Advertising needs from basic to advanced levels.
  • Prioritize teaching RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.
  • Provide effective Lookdev training to create convincing results for Clients.
  • Offer solutions for integration from Houdini to Autodesk Maya and Blender or vice versa.
  • Efficiently teach in-house VFX Artists to enhance individual skills.
  • Share insights into VFX Artist experience in global cinema.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series.
  • Knowledge of the overall VFX workflow and understanding of the production process.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Houdini.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles (Nuke preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of the Blender workflow is a plus.
  • Portfolio demonstrating excellent skills and creative approach.
  • Solid understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Artistic skills with high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity.
