We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Operations Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of process and utility equipment. This critical role involves ensuring reliable plant operations, focusing on zero breakdowns, zero defects, and zero accidents. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a process or chemical industry, leading teams, implementing best practices like TPM, and driving continuous improvement in all maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance & Operations: Oversee the operation and maintenance of process and utility equipment during shifts. Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown mechanical maintenance, ensuring accurate records are kept.
  • Performance & Efficiency: Focus on minimizing downtime and waste reduction. Prepare daily and monthly reports on maintenance activities and downtime.
  • Problem-Solving: Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for breakdowns, initiating corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Asset & Inventory Management: Maintain detailed equipment history records and perform Life Cycle Analysis of critical equipment. Work to reduce inventory by standardizing and ensuring interchangeability of spares.
  • Team Leadership: Train and develop team members, promoting technical excellence and safety.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to EHS policies and compliance with standards such as ISO 9000, ISO-14000, OHSAS-18000, and TPM. Implement 5S principles throughout the facility.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in process, chemical, or fine chemical industries.
Required Skills:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with equipment used in chemical process plants or batch processes, including glass-lined equipment and mechanical seals.
  • Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of DCS/PLC-based control systems.
  • Methodology & Standards: Conceptual knowledge of ISO, WCM, Six Sigma, and MAXIMO.
  • EHS: A thorough understanding of safety standards, PPE use, and awareness of Responsible Care principles.
  • Utilities: Basic knowledge of industrial utilities, including refrigeration, steam, and cooling towers.
