Job Summary:

The RFP specialist plays a pivotal role in crafting and submitting high-quality proposals that align with client requirements. Key responsibilities include conceptualizing proposal ideas, gathering relevant information, writing compelling drafts, and securing approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine proposal concept by identifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Meet proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal to guarantee timely delivery.
  • Coordinate requirements with contributors and contribute proposal status information to review meetings to maintain transparency and efficiency.
  • Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, and identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals to minimize potential setbacks.
  • Develop proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, standards of performance, and evaluation to showcase the team's capabilities and expertise.
  • Write, revise, and edit drafts, including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials to create a cohesive and engaging narrative.
  • Prepare presentation by evaluating text, graphics, and binding to ensure visual appeal and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify solutions and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to gather and organize complex information to support informed decision-making.
