Cloud Engineering Specialist Role Overview:

The AWS Cloud Engineering Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS). This includes architecting, provisioning, and managing complex cloud infrastructure, as well as integrating AI/ML services to enhance application functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement highly available and scalable cloud architectures using ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, KMS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and AWS Glue.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform modules to automate environment provisioning, resets, and decommissioning.
  • Integrate AWS GenAI solutions (Bedrock, SageMaker) for scenario automation and real-time demo enrichment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate scenarios and implement custom flows.
  • Implement role-based access control, feature flag toggling, and configuration management using AWS Systems Manager and AppConfig.
  • Ensure environmental health through automated monitoring, alerting, and load testing (CloudWatch, AWS Load Balancer, X-Ray).
  • Support automated QA gates, metrics capture, and post-demo knowledge management.
  • Provide secondary support for cloud engineering tasks including ingesting, transforming, and loading data into AWS Glue, Redshift, and Athena.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in AWS engineering with strong C# or Java or Python development skills.
  • Expertise in Terraform for AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with GenAI or ML services (Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda).
  • Professional certification in AWS is preferred.
