Main Responsibilities:

  3. Identify emerging trends in the market and capitalize on opportunities to increase revenue
  4. Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely delivery of products
  5. Analyze market data and sales performance to inform business decisions and optimize operations
  6. Collaborate with design teams to develop new products that meet customer needs and expectations
  7. Manage inventory levels and forecast demand to minimize stockouts and overstocking
  8. Ensure product quality and regulatory compliance to protect the brand's reputation
  9. Conduct competitor analysis and market research to stay ahead of industry trends
  10. Lead and mentor the buying and merchandising team to improve skills and knowledge

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Graduate degree in a relevant field, such as business or fashion
  2. Minimum 7 years of experience in the sports/activewear industry, preferably in accessories buying and merchandising
  3. Proven track record of success in buying and merchandising, with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction
  4. Strong understanding of domestic and international supplier bases, including contract negotiation and management
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  7. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software applications, including purchasing and inventory management systems
