Job Role Overview

This role is focused on ensuring that our Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) fabrication, welding, painting, and erection activities align with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant codes/standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Material Inspection: Inspect raw materials, fabricated components, and finished structures against drawings and specifications to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Process Quality Checks: Conduct quality checks for welding, bolting, cutting, and assembly processes in line with PEB standards.
  • Dimensional Inspection: Carry out dimensional inspection of built-up sections, secondary members, and assemblies to ensure accuracy.
  • Surface Preparation and Coating: Monitor surface preparation, blasting, and painting/coating quality as per required standards.
  • Reporting and Record Keeping: Prepare inspection reports, maintain quality records, and ensure traceability of materials.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with production, erection, and project teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with ISO/IS/ASTM/AISC/MBMA standards and client specifications, and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives in the quality management system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control in PEB / Steel Structure fabrication industry.
